Summary: Participative Management in Industry is an attempt to probe into a relatively new field which is of crucial importance to political leaders, public servants, trade unionists, industrial workers and labour relations consultants. In Bangladesh, one is yet to see a book which provides a conceptual framework as well as discusses important developments and experience of countries which have experimented with different forms of worker participation in management. This book incorporates all these in a very precise manner. Moreover, Bangladesh's half-hearted experience in participative management has also been discussed from an historical perspective. We hope that this book will attract diverse readership. Specifically, students and teachers of different educational institutions taking or imparting courses in labour-management relations will find this book useful.
